Hello and welcome to my blog for my anthropology course (Archaeology of Death: Dead (Wo)men do tell tales). My name is mytch. I'm not too sure what to think about a course dedicated to exploring the death, but I needed an elective and was told this was an interesting course. I'm currently a "professional student," but hoping that I can eventually finish this degree within the next year (fingers crossed). I'm majoring in Anthropology, looking into post-degree education programs and am working on certification programs (such as orton gillingham training) to work with students who struggle academically.
So if I'm interested in helping people who are alive why take a course on death!? Well other than needing an elective, this course sounds like there is a lot of interactive group work which I can apply towards real life job situations such as in the education field or even for the sport team I play on (I play on Uvic's ultimate team).
I've never used a blog before and it has taken me quite some time trying to figure out how to get started. Anyone out there with any tips come over and say "hey" and post any suggestions you can think of! :)
